The Soundbox displays a QR code for payment by customers to scan and make payments. Once the payment has been made, a real time audio notification will be played to inform merchants that payment has been received.

Accepted Payment Methods
Currently, the soundbox accepts the following payment methods below.

Parts of a Soundbox
Turning On / Off the Soundbox
Hold the power button to switch on or off the Soundbox
Turning Up / Down the Volume
Click the “+” button to increase the volume and the “-” button to decrease the volume.
Method 1: WIFI connection

Click “F1” on the keypad
Click “F1” (down arrow) again to select “2 NET SELECT” option
Click green “Enter” button
Select “2 WIFI” and click the “Enter” button.
Select “Add WIFI” and click the “Enter” button
Then select “1 Connect” and click “Enter” button to key in your password to connect to the Internet via WIFI. You can enter your password details through the numberpad provided.
To key in numbers and characters using the analog number pad, each button cycles through a sequence of characters with each press, separated by a short pause to move to the next character.
For example:
Button 2 cycles through: 2, a, b, c, A, B, C
Button 3: 3, d, e, f, D, E, F
And so on for the other buttons.
Special case:
Button 1 is used for: 1, q, z, Q, Z
Button F1 is used for special characters (?, !, @, $ etc.)
Method 2: 4G SIM Card
Locate the SIM Card Holder on the side of the soundbox, right above the charging port.
Lift open the SIM Card Holder and insert the 4G SIM Card into the holder.

Click “F1” (down arrow) again to select “2 NET SELECT” option
Click the “Enter” button
Then select “1 4G” and click the “Enter” button to connect to the Internet via 4G.
In case where there is no Internet Connection:
If the soundbox is not connected to the internet, the following screen will be displayed. There will also be an audio notification reminding users to connect to the internet.
You can charge the soundbox via a USB-C connection.
Upon charging the soundbox, the display will show a charging icon next to the battery level. An audio notification will also inform users that the soundbox is charging.
On Soundbox, User press F1 > Language > Chinese
Pop-up displays “Set up Successful”
Audio notification played from Soundbox would be in Chinese language. This would include payment received notifications and other audio reminders etc.

The QR code will now be displayed on the soundbox
View Sales Transaction Reports
Sales report can be viewed on the Soundbox and in the Backend portal
On Soundbox:
User clicks on F2 Button on Soundbox.
Sales report will be displayed on the screen, this include:
Today’s Sales -> Total Sales Amount Received for the Day
Last 5 transactions -> Last 5 transactions paid through the Soundbox for the day itself.
It would not contain data from yesterday and today at the same time.
In the BE:
Log in to the EPOS backend.
Go to Reporting > Sales Report > Transaction List
The Cashier for the transaction will be the S/N found at the back of the soundbox. The payment method will be “ANEXT PAYNOW” and the amount received will also be shown.
You may now integrate the Soundbox with POS.
Soundbox Set Up
Connect the Soundbox to the POS via a USB cable that supports data transfer.
Then in POS, go to Setting > Hardware Settings > Integrate Soundbox.
Select the Correct Port and Save Changes.
Anext PayNow
The soundbox will act like a second screen when Anext PayNow payment option is selected in the POS.

After a payment is made, payment succeeds on POS and Soundbox with audio and visual notification. No sound will come from Windows POS.
Change Device Mode
As of Soundbox version v2.1.46, users can now change the soundbox mode between Stand Alone and Integration.
The table below shows how to change the Soundbox Device Mode.
Start at Soundbox Home Screen
Click “F1” to go to the “Settings” page.
Click “F1” two more times and then click “Enter” to go to the “Device Mode: page.
Here, you can select between Stand Alone and Integration modes.
Click “Enter” and the Soundbox will reboot with the new mode

No audio notification when payment is received
There are 2 scenarios when there is no audio notification and no payment received displayed even after payment has been made.
Soundbox has no Internet connection – Refer to “Connecting Soundbox to the Internet”.
Paynow QR is not from Anext Bank – Use a Paynow QR from Anext Bank Account.
QR code not showing
This occurs when the soundbox is not connected to the Internet. Refer to “Connecting Soundbox to the Internet”.
