The Restricted Products feature allows merchants to manage and control the sale of age-restricted or regulated items (e.g., alcohol, tobacco) through the Retail Kiosk. When enabled, the kiosk will automatically detect restricted items during checkout and ensure staff verification is completed before the customer can proceed.
1. Scan a restricted product:
When a restricted item is scanned at the kiosk, the system will pause the checkout flow and trigger a staff assistance prompt. This ensures that restricted items cannot be purchased without proper verification.
2. Complete staff verification:
Staff must authenticate themselves at the kiosk to proceed. After successful verification, the system will display a reminder for staff to confirm the customer’s age eligibility before allowing the purchase to continue.
