Starting the POS

To launch the EPOS POS application, tap on the app icon from the display page.

 

Upon launching, users will be directed to the initialization screen to select whether the device will operate as a Standalone or Slave terminal. When Standalone is selected, the system will display the pre-filled store service IP address and port number.

When Slave is selected, users can manually enter the store’s IP address and port number.

After confirming the IP address and port number, users will be directed to the Authentication view. When a country is selected from the dropdown list, the Portrait POS will automatically connect to the appropriate domain for that region.

The dropdown list displays two country options:

  • Singapore (default): Selecting Singapore connects to the domain .eposdata.com.

  • Malaysia: Selecting Malaysia connects to the domain .eposmyhq.com.

After entering the email and password, users will proceed to the Login page. The image below highlights the available functions on this screen:

1. Sync

Synchronize any changes made on the Backend Portal to the Frontend POS instantly.

2. Login

Allows users to log in to the POS system. For more details, refer to Session Management.

3. Information

Displays details such as outlet name, terminal code, and POS version information.
