Accelerating MSME Digitalisation With EPOS360
On 11th November 2025, more than 200 MSME owners, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders gathered at Marina Bay Sands at Ant International’s Voyage 2025 for an afternoon dedicated to one shared goal: helping small businesses unlock new possibilities through technology.
At the centre of the event was the launch of EPOS360, alongside a series of milestones that highlight the increasing momentum behind MSME digitalisation in Singapore and the region. From new AI capabilities to strategic partnerships, the event showcased a future where running a business is faster, more connected, and more resilient.
This article recaps the key announcements, insights, and moments that shaped the event—and what they mean for MSMEs preparing to grow in 2025.
EPOS360: Seamless Onboarding to Banking, Payments, Loans, and POS in Minutes
Ant International’s Antom unveiled EPOS360 as a key highlight of the SME in Local Markets, demonstrated live on stage. In under five minutes, a merchant was fully onboarded to banking, payments, loans, and a multitude of growth-enabling services using SingPass, and supported by Antom, AliPay+ and ANEXT Bank.
This is a shift from fragmented processes that typically require multiple forms, repeated verification, and weeks of waiting. EPOS360 consolidates these steps into one streamlined experience, giving MSMEs immediate access to the essentials they need to operate and scale.
For MSMEs, the implications are clear:
• Faster operational setup
• Lower administrative workload
• Immediate access to financial products
• A more cohesive, integrated business ecosystem
From early 2026, this level of simplification is no longer a future aspiration: it’s now accessible to businesses of all sizes.
MDEC and Ant International Deepen Partnership to Accelerate Digitalisation of MSMEs Across Malaysia
Another major milestone was the MOU signing between Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and Ant International. This partnership formalises a joint commitment to supporting MSMEs across Malaysia in adopting digital tools that enhance productivity, visibility, and operational efficiency.
The collaboration aims to:
• Support digital adoption for MSMEs via Ant International’s ecosystem
• Improve resource access to Malaysian businesses
• Provide MSMEs with shared knowledge, networks, and tools
For MSMEs in Malaysia, this partnership offers a foundation built on alignment, innovation, and long-term support.
How MSMEs Can Leverage AI: Insights From Industry Leaders
A panel discussion on “Reimagining Workflows: Unleashing the Full Potential of AI for MSMEs” explored how small businesses can leverage AI — even without big tech teams.
Moderated by Jiang-Ming Yang, Chief Innovation Officer, Ant International, panelists included Johnson Poh, Assistant Chief Executive at Enterprise Transformation & Innovation Group, Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and representatives from local MSMEs such as GelatiAmo, uParcel, master franchisees for BingXue Tea & Ice Cream Singapore and Wanpo Tea Shop Singapore.
The central message: meaningful AI adoption is not about hiring large tech teams or acquiring complex infrastructure. Instead, MSMEs should focus on rethinking workflows, empowering employees, and integrating AI in ways that remove bottlenecks.
Key discussion points included:
• Identifying processes that benefit most from automation
• Training frontline teams to use AI tools effectively
• Using AI insights to make better operational decisions
• Avoiding technology adoption for its own sake
• Building a culture where technology enables—not replaces—people
This pragmatic approach reflects what MSMEs need: simple, practical strategies that strengthen day-to-day operations without overwhelming teams.
Celebrating Singapore’s Business Trailblazers: The Emerging Champions Awards
The event also hosted the inaugural The Emerging Champions Awards, celebrating 130 local enterprises that have demonstrated exceptional resilience, innovation, and growth.
These businesses represent the heart of Singapore’s MSME ecosystem. They have navigated shifting consumer expectations, market uncertainty, and rapid technological change while continuing to grow, reinvent, and serve their communities.
Recognising their achievements reinforces why empowering MSMEs matter. When MSMEs are supported with the right tools and partnerships, they become stronger engines of innovation: driving not only their own success, but also contributing to national and regional economic progress.
A Collaborative Future for MSMEs
The success of the event and the milestones announced were made possible with the support of IMDA, MDEC, Lianhe Zaobao, and industry partners who continue to champion digital transformation for Singapore’s business community.
Together, these collaborations signal a new phase for MSMEs—one where integration replaces fragmentation, cross-border support replaces isolated efforts, and AI becomes a practical advantage rather than an abstract concept.
With EPOS360, regional partnerships, and growing industry alignment, MSMEs now have clearer pathways to modernise, scale, and thrive.
